Terms of Service
The agreement between your firm and Pertavo: what we provide, what you agree to, and how either side can end it.
In effect from 20 September 2026
One thing to know before you read this. Pertavo is operated by HasTech IT Limited and the address below is real, but we have not settled which country's law governs our terms, so that one clause is left unnamed rather than guessed at. Everything else in it — what the software does, what it holds, and what we will and will not do with it — is accurate today. The missing details are added here as soon as they are settled.
This agreement
These terms are an agreement between you and HasTech IT Limited, House 15, Block C, Banasree Main Road, Dhaka 1219, Bangladesh, which operates Pertavo. By creating an account, or by using Pertavo as a client of a firm that has one, you agree to them.
Our Privacy Policy explains what we do with personal information and forms part of this agreement.
Who may use it
You must be at least 16 and able to enter into a contract. If you are agreeing on behalf of a firm, you are confirming that you may bind that firm, and "you" then means the firm.
Accounts
You are responsible for what happens under your account, so keep your password to yourself and tell us promptly if you think someone else has it. We would encourage turning on two-factor authentication; it is available on every plan.
A firm controls who has access to its workspace and what role each person holds. Removing someone is the firm's job and takes effect immediately.
What you put in
Your documents remain yours. We claim no ownership of the files, messages or client information you put into Pertavo. You give us only the permission we need to actually run the service — to store your files, show them to the people you have shared them with, back them up, and display them for signing. Nothing broader, and nothing that outlives your use of the service.
We do not use the contents of your documents to train machine-learning models, and we do not read them except where you ask us to help with a specific problem or where the law compels us.
You are responsible for having the right to upload what you upload, and for telling your own clients how their information is handled.
Acceptable use
Do not use Pertavo to:
- break the law, or help anyone else to;
- upload malware, or anything designed to damage a system or a person;
- try to reach another firm's data, or probe, scan or overload the service;
- resell access to it as though it were your own product;
- forge a signature, or ask someone to sign something under a false identity.
If something here is being used to cause serious harm, we may suspend access to stop it. We will tell you why, and we will restore access when it is resolved.
Plans and payment
Pertavo is sold as a subscription, billed monthly or yearly in advance. Plans carry limits on the number of clients, the number of documents and the amount of storage; the current limits are set out on our pricing page. Electronic signatures are unlimited on every plan.
Fees are exclusive of tax unless stated. If a payment fails we will tell you and give you a reasonable chance to fix it before anything is restricted. If we change our prices, we will give you notice before the change applies to you, and it will not apply to a period you have already paid for.
You can cancel at any time. Cancelling stops the next renewal; it does not refund the period already running, unless we have failed to provide the service.
Electronic signatures
Pertavo lets documents be signed electronically and keeps a record of each signature — who signed, when, and the IP address and browser reported at the time. That record is part of the evidence that a document was signed.
Whether a particular electronically signed document is legally effective depends on the document, the jurisdiction and the parties. We provide the mechanism and the record; we do not give legal advice, and we do not warrant that any specific document is enforceable. If that matters for a particular filing, check it.
Availability
We work to keep Pertavo available and we will give notice of planned maintenance where we reasonably can. We do not currently offer a contractual uptime guarantee, and we are not going to print one we have no measurement behind.
Ending the agreement
You may close your account at any time. We may end this agreement if you materially breach these terms and do not put it right within 30 days of us asking, or immediately where the breach is serious and ongoing.
Getting your files out. If either side ends the agreement, you keep access to download your documents for at least 30 days afterwards. We will not hold a firm's client records hostage over a billing dispute. After that period we may delete them, and we will delete them sooner if you ask.
Liability
Pertavo is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we exclude implied warranties, and our total liability to you for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before it arose.
Nothing here limits liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
You are responsible for keeping your own copies of anything you cannot afford to lose. We take backups to run the service; they are not a substitute for your own records, and a professional practice should not treat them as one.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change materially affects your rights, we will tell the firms using Pertavo directly and give reasonable notice before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the change; if you do not, you can cancel.
Governing law
We have not fixed the governing law yet, and we are not going to put a country here on a guess. It is named in this clause as soon as it is chosen. We would rather leave the sentence unfinished than tell you the wrong courthouse, since which one it is decides where you would have to go — and if that answer matters to your firm before you buy, ask us and we will tell you where it stands.
